Special event station celebrating the 50th. Debrecen Flower Carnival (August of 2019). The special call is hosted by the Debrecen University Radio Club (HG0UD).

It is available to any amateur station in the world under the following conditions:
To make 2-way contacts or SWL reports during the activity period (August of 2019) with the special station HG50DFC
for EU stations: 5 different band or mode slots
for non-EU stations: 3 different band or mode slots
There is no need to send QSL cards for the diploma just to submit an electronic request (containing information of the QSOs) to the following e-mail address:

Award : Poland - SN0ARCO - 150th Anniversary of Georg Graf von Arco
SN0ARCO : 150th Anniversary of Georg Graf von Arco
One of the easier amateur radio awards to obtain. I worked SN0ARCO on 40m and 80m CW to get required two contacts.
After sending an e-mail, the diploma in JPEG format was returned just a few hours later.

Licence validity period: 01.08-31.12.2019
Main Award activity period: 01.08-31.08.2019.
Special QSL cards and an electronic Award will be available.
The SN0ARCO special-event station will be operated by the members of the SP9KJU Club
in Racibórz. The Award activity is intended to pay homage to the inventor (jointly with Alexander Meissner) of a receiver and a superheterodyne transmitter.
Georg Graf von Arco was born at Gorzyce (then Großgorschütz) in Silesia, attended a Junior High School in Racibórz (Ratibor), and studied at the University of Berlin.
He became the Technical Director of the Telefunken Company.
This Award activity is supported by the Racibórz Town authorities.
Award
a) SP stations: see the Rules in Polish.
b) Non-SP stations: Either 1 QSO with SN0ARCO and 1 QSO with any other station operating from Gorzyce, or 2 QSO’s with SN0ARCO made with various modes or on various bands
in the period of 01-31.08.2019. Special activities of SN0ARCO and other Gorzyce stations are planned to take place at the Inventor’s birthplace, the Arco Palace at Gorzyce, on his Birthday of 30.08.2019 (or 31.08.2019).

Similar conditions apply to SWL’s.

We celebrate the 15 years since the establishment of our Association!
We will run each year a special callsign in order to celebrate YO3IPA (ex. next year we will operate with YO16IPA). We will reward the stations that work with us, as a follows:
- working with one YO3IPA special callsigns like the ones mentioned before (ex. YO11IPA) will bring you a special QSL
- working with two consecutive and different YO3IPA special callsigns like the ones mentioned before (ex. YO11IPA, YO12IPA etc.)will bring you a diploma

New blog for amateur radio awards...
In August of 2019, I started this new blog for amateur radio radio awards. The primary purpose is to keep a record of the various awards that I have collected over the years and to have a resource online for others interested in this subject.
It's something I've been thinking about for some time so I didn't just start it on the spur of the moment. I already have an existing amateur radio blog HERE so that might have seemed the obvious place to put this material.
The thing is that amateur radio awards is a pretty niche area of interest in what is already a pretty specialised hobby. I kind of wanted a site that would be about amateur radio awards and nothing else.
People that visit this site know what it is about and are visiting for that purpose. Most of the people that visit my main blog are probably not looking for a load of material and information on awards.
Hopefully over time, I will add more material but I may not be able to update it all the time. At the very least, I hope to create a resource that others may find of use.
